EFG Elektrik, a Diyarbakır-based company preparing for an initial public offering (IPO), will allocate 70 percent of the proceeds to investments and 30 percent to working capital. The company’s Chief Financial Officer, Orhan Dervişoğlu, said, “There are companies in our city with IPO potential, but they’ve been hesitant. We’ve broken through that hesitation and set an example.”

EFG Elektrik, which is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) on Borsa Istanbul, manufactures infrastructure products such as medium- and high-voltage systems, metal-enclosed modular cells, prefabricated substations, and sheet metal enclosures—primarily for industrial facilities—as well as for the energy generation, transmission, and distribution sectors. Of the total 150 million TL in nominal shares to be offered in the IPO, 100 million TL will flow into the company’s coffers as revenue.

WE HAVE SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THE REGION
EFG Elektrik CFO Orhan Dervişoğlu stated that they will allocate 70 percent of the proceeds from the public offering to investments and 30 percent to working capital. Dervişoğlu said, “There are companies in Diyarbakır with IPO potential, but they’ve been hesitant. We’ve broken that hesitation and set an example.” Dervişoğlu also noted that they have begun a new factory investment and aim to support the development of the supporting industries in the region, adding, “EFG will create its own ecosystem in Diyarbakır and the surrounding area, just as the automotive sector has done in Bursa.”

“Made in Turkey” Certification for 15 Products
EFG has received “Made in Turkey” certification from the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) for 15 products it manufactures as import substitutes. Seven new product projects set to launch in the 2025–2026 period are currently underway at the R&D center. Dervişoğlu said, “We believe that for domestic production to be sustainable, R&D’s share of national income must be at least 3 percent.” Hasan Üçer, a member of the EFG Elektrik Board of Directors, noted that as a domestic manufacturer, the company holds a leading position in the industry regarding vacuum circuit breakers.
