Enver Geçgel Elementary School will begin classes in Diyarbakır

In the Eğil district of Diyarbakır, a significant step was taken to help strengthen the educational infrastructure.

The Enver Geçgel Elementary School, which offers a modern solution to meet the district’s student needs, was officially opened with a ceremony. Built to meet the growing need for schools resulting from Eğil’s increasing population, the new 8-classroom school will provide a modern and safe educational environment for a total of 200 students in its elementary and kindergarten sections.

The opening ceremony was attended by Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Prosecutor Muhsin Şentürk, Eğil District Governor Volkan Hülür, Eğil Mayor Fırat Seydaoğlu, Provincial Director of National Education Salih Sadoğlu, Namık Kemal Gökalp, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Info Yatırım; Enver Geçgel, Chairman of the Board of Directors at EFG; and Orhan Dervişoğlu, Finance Director at EFG Elektrik, as well as numerous officials, business representatives, and guests.

A POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE AND HARD WORK SHAPE THE INDIVIDUALS OF THE FUTURE

Muhsin Şentürk, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals, emphasized the importance of preschool education and noted that the government is raising awareness and developing policies in this area. Şentürk said, “Schools like this demonstrate just how valuable early childhood education is. As a government, we are fully aware of this and are developing appropriate policies and projects for our children. My advice to our dear students is this: In places where this spiritual atmosphere prevails, you will become the leading individuals of the future through both your prayers and your hard work. This school offers an environment where you will grow both in knowledge and in values,” he said.

Volkan Hülür, the District Governor of Eğil, emphasized that Enver Geçgel Elementary School offers a quality of education on par with that of private schools. Hülür also highlighted the importance placed on education in the district, stating, “Enver Geçgel Elementary School once again underscores the importance of education by providing our children in the district with a modern and comprehensive education. With its 8 classrooms, kindergarten sections, and advanced facilities, this school enables our students to build a strong foundation in creativity, academic achievement, and social development.This investment is not merely about constructing a physical building; it is an investment in Eğil’s future, a value we place on our children, and a major step toward our social development. Every contribution to education is critical for the development of our community and for our children to realize their potential. “The school we are opening here today will serve as a center where our future generations can confidently advance on their educational journey and will raise the educational standards of our district,” he said.

Enver Geçgel, Chairman of the EFG Board of Directors, highlighted the contribution this school will make to children’s development, stating: “This school is not merely an educational building; it is a center where the scientists, researchers, and patriotic citizens of the future will be nurtured. Our greatest goal is to provide our children in Eğil with an environment where they can dream, be curious, and grow through knowledge. Every classroom, every lesson, serves as a step toward helping our children discover their potential and achieve their dreams. Orhan Dervişoğlu, Finance Director at EFG Elektrik, highlighted the school’s contributions to education and to the children of the region in his speech at the opening ceremony of Enver Geçgel Elementary School. Following the speeches, the ceremony continued with the presentation of a plaque and concluded with a tour of the school building and a photo session.
